Hair Loss Treatments: Study of Nizoral Shampoo
At the close of a study of NIzoral versus dandruff shampoo to find out about the Best Hair Loss Shampoos, it was found that the NIzoral users had had fewer hairs growing on the scalp than the zinc pyrithione dandruff shampoo users. This means that fewer hair follicles were in the anagen phase, for the men who were in the random group using the NIzoral. Not all of the hair that a person has grows at one time. At a given time, some of the follicles are dormant, and others are actively growing hair. This is the anagen phase. The phase lasts about two to six years. After a brief transitional phase, the dormant (telogen) phase begins. The telogen phase lasts five to six years. Then, when a follicle goes back into anagen, the hair that had been growing from it falls out. A new hair then grows from the same follicle. So, recall the study. Both the NIzoral users and the zinc pyrithione users had an increase on the number of hairs in the anagen phase. The NIzoral group had 6 percent more.
